The Global Marketplace will take Indigenous Elders, Indigenous Knowledge Keepers, Academic Researchers, Academic Professionals, and Social Innovators for a multi-city tour.
The Global Marketplace provides an opportunity to help delegates understand the dimensions of leadership through experiential learning and skill-based workshops. It is our vision that our conferences will bring together leaders and start conversations to ignite a passion to share understandings of cross-cultural knowledge and skill development.

The Global Marketplace Delegation will commence its journey from Vancouver, Canada, and arrive in Dubai on the morning of November 13th.
Dubai, a pivotal global hub renowned for its forward-thinking approach to business and culture, will serve as the delegation’s introduction to international leadership and innovation. This initial phase will establish a foundation for cross-cultural competence and strategic thinking, essential qualities for today’s global leaders.
The delegation will begin with meetings at top universities and colleges in Mumbai, followed by a leadership program at the NFBM Jagriti School for Blind Girls in Pune. This immersive experience will feature “Real Eyes,” an experiential learning and training initiative that connects Jagriti students with our Global Delegation, offering GELP delegates unique professional development and insights to bring back to their home countries. The program will conclude with a leadership conference in collaboration with Christ University in Lavasa, featuring a series of workshops and faculty development sessions at the Lavasa campus and with other partner institutions.
The delegation will then head to Chennai to host a leadership program and corporate networking event with Sri Sairam Group of Institutions. At Sri Sairam Group of Institutions, GELP will be honoring two students with Global Awards that were awarded recipients from the 2024 Global Virtual Summit and selected as the “Explore the Leader in You Winner”. Prior to leaving Chennai on the 24th, GELP will be conducting a morning leadership summit with M.O.P. Vaishnav Women's College in collaboration with other surrounding institutions.
In Bangalore, GELP will partner with AIMS Institutes to host a series of impactful leadership programs focused on student career and leadership development. Key events include:
A Global Conference on “Agile Leadership & Sustainable Development Strategies in the SDG Era (AL&SDS)” - Indo-Canadian Experiences and Insights, featuring a panel discussion.
A Global Immersion Conclave (GIC) for Students on “Leadership, Sustainability & Internationalization in Higher Education” - Indo-Canadian Immersion, offering a two-day deep dive into leadership and sustainability.
A Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Innovation and Design Thinking for Enhancing Excellence,” delivered in a blended mode, including a GELP Team Session.
An Executive Leadership Confluence (ELC) on “Skilling for International Immersion and Industry Alignment.”
These events aim to foster agile leadership, sustainable development, and internationalization in higher education, providing students and faculty with essential insights and skills for the SDG era.
The final stop of the 2024 Global Marketplace will be in Delhi. GELP will host leadership programs and engagement meetings in Delhi with highschools and post-secondary schools. We will also be launching a new partnership in India and announcing the launch of GELP Leadership Camps.
The Global Marketplace Delegation will depart from India and head back to Canada. The GELP delegation will take the next few weeks to reflect on the experiences that have occurred over the 2024 Global Marketplace. Delegation members will be asked throughout the tour to share their experiences and reflections. The Marketplace will launch the next phase of GELP’s global initiatives.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms, and it was evident that the team at LCI takes collaboration seriously. We were delighted to witness the rich art and culture, experience traditional practices, and engage in meaningful conversations that emphasized our shared values. One of the highlights of our visit was the opportunity to connect with the students and faculty at LCI Monterrey.
IBERO's impressive facilities, including state-of-the-art labs and collaborative spaces, foster a nurturing environment for students to thrive academically and personally. The university's commitment to integrating technology and reconciliation in education was particularly noteworthy, aligning perfectly with our GELP values.
Our visit to Tecnológico de Monterrey left us truly inspired. The students we met exhibited a remarkable focus on excellence, with genuine curiosity and engagement evident in every interaction. It was inspiring to learn that the students we met are actively giving back to their communities, showcasing a commendable focus on social responsibility. TEC's forward-thinking approach was evident in their level of technology and the intentional care they put into their classrooms for the students. Their strong communication strategies left a lasting impression on us.
The delegation visited Hyderabad, where GELP partnered with Loyola Academy to host both the delegation and a leadership program for students, faculty, and staff. During their time in Hyderabad, the Global Marketplace Leadership Program was inaugurated by the Commissioner of Collegiate and Technical Education for the Government of Telangana.
At Sri Sairam Group of Institutions, GELP hosted an inspiring leadership event that brought together over 2,500 delegates, focusing on resilience and innovation in today’s dynamic world. The program culminated in a memorable moment as three outstanding participants were recognized as winners, celebrating their dedication and leadership potential. This event empowered all attendees to embrace new perspectives and inspired them to make impactful contributions to their communities and careers.
The 2022 Marketplace delegation visited SASTRA University in Thanjavur, where GELP conducted a student leadership program and a faculty and staff professional development program focused on understanding global Indigenous perspectives.
During the visit to Rajagiri Group of Institutions, GELP honored student leaders who received the prestigious Global Awards at the Global Virtual Summit held in June 2022. The visit featured multiple student leadership programs, along with a corporate networking event conducted in collaboration with the Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies.
GELP’s visit to AIMS Institutes in Bangalore was marked by a dynamic leadership development program aimed at empowering students to become impactful leaders in the global landscape. The event included sessions on global leadership, sustainable development, and innovation, fostering an environment where students could explore new perspectives on leadership and community engagement.
The GELP team participated in a high-profile panel and networking event at the World Trade Centre Mumbai, where panelists—including GELP’s Omar Karim, Sobhana Jaya-Madhavan, Brock Dykeman, Charlene Bearhead, Elder Wilson Bearhead, and Dr. Vijay Kalantri, Chairman of the World Trade Centre Mumbai—shared insights on "21st Century Leadership: Navigating Uncertainty and Conflict with Courage," moderated by Satheesh Paddolker, CEO of Kratos Innovation.
GELP’s leadership program at Christ University Lavasa provided students with essential skills in leadership, sustainability, and global collaboration. Through interactive workshops, panel discussions, and faculty development sessions, participants explored innovative approaches to leadership and internationalization in higher education, building a foundation for impactful careers in an interconnected world.
Global Marketplace 2022 started with a pre-launch event in Pune with the NFBM Jagriti School For Blind Girls.
