Canada's Largest Global Virtual Youth Skills Summit

The Global Virtual Summit for Career and Skill Development is Canada’s largest virtual youth skills summit and in 2024, our objective is to engage over 15,000+ students and young professionals from around the world.

The Summit platform is made to be accessible and equitable to all students irrespective of their background and creates a safe place for diverse communities to share their lived experiences. GELP seeks to foster a global community of practice around diversity, equity and inclusion.

2024 Global Virtual Summit Schedule

This half-day virtual conference will allow delegates to engage with leaders around the globe in an interactive experiential online environment that will include keynote speakers, professional skill development workshops, networking and career development opportunities. Delegates and attendees will have the opportunity to win tuition awards of up to $2500 CAD through their participation and reflection submissions.     Intentional Living

    The Power of Cultivating Gratitude

    This session offers participants an opportunity to explore the integration between mindfulness practices and purposeful living, empowering them to cultivate greater clarity, fulfillment, alignment, and gratitude with their values. Through a focus on cultivating gratitude, attendees will learn how this practice serves as a gateway to mindful living and enhances overall well-being.

By emphasizing the importance of social responsibility, empathy, and collaboration, Youth for Change fosters a generation of change-makers who are empowered to address pressing issues and drive positive transformation in society.

    Workshop #3: Global Indigenous Perspectives in Entrepreneurship

    Cultivating Reconciliation and Worldviews

    This engaging workshop led by entrepreneurs and community leaders, provides a platform to explore the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Indigenous peoples in entrepreneurship. Through interactive discussions, participants will gain insights into Indigenous approaches to building sustainable business, leadership, and economic empowerment. Attendees will learn how entrepreneurs create positive change while honoring one’s cultural heritage.

    The closing ceremony will highlight on the theme of "Resilience Reimagined: Empowering Communities, Shaping Futures”. This session will reflect on the theme of resilience and its transformative impact on creating sustainable  communities. This ceremony will focus on identifying emerging challenges, offering valuable insights for community leaders, and delegates interested in fostering resilient and sustainable communities. The closing ceremony will offer a roadmap towards building stronger and more resilient communities that can thrive in an ever-changing world.

GELP aims to raise enough funding and  sponsorship to have as many seats secured and reserved for students. There are two ticket types. The second ticket type is meant for working professionals, faculty and staff who are able to participate in a meaningful way. Both tickets provide full access to all Summit experiences, workshop content, and opportunities to submit your reflections to win tuition prizes valued up to $2500 CAD.
